Product information: Oracle Lifesciences is the manufacturer of Oraloc-L capsules used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or acid reflux complications like stomach pain, heartburn, and acidity.

Dosage: Oraloc-L capsules are advised to be taken as per the doctor’s prescription on an empty stomach. The duration and dosage of the medicine will depend upon the patient’s response and the doctor’s suggestions.

Oraloc-L working module: Esomeprazole (EC) and Levosulpiride (SR) are also known as gastrointestinal agents, as they help reduce GERD discomforts by neutralising stomach acid production and its frequent backflow into the food pipe.

Adverse effects: It may cause temporary complications like diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gassiness, constipation, and headache. Contact the doctor if side effects do not resolve with time.

Oraloc-L usage direction: 

• Follow the doctor’s prescription instructions.
• Drink adequate water throughout the day and eat fibre-rich foods to prevent constipation.
• It may cause sleepiness so driving should be prohibited.
• Restrict alcohol consumption to avoid aggravating sleepiness and risk of stomach damage.
• Inculcate lifestyle alterations like drinking cold milk and restricting tea or coffee, spicy food, and chocolate intake to observe desired positive outcomes.
• Prefer eating smaller frequent meals and keeping a gap of 3-4 hours between meals and bedtime.

• Live with low stress levels and get the optimum amount of sleep and rest daily.

Guidance if medication missed: Restrict double dosing, take as soon as it is remembered but if the next dose is nearing skip the previous one and consume the next scheduled dose.
